The Scioto Boat Club is situated on 3 Acres on the West bank of the Scioto River adjacent to the Indian Village Camp at the Griggs Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio. Our Club was organized in the 1930s by a group of local boating enthusiasts dedicated to better and safer boating. We remain committed to our founding principles and the preservation of the Scioto River as one of the finest inland resources in Ohio.
Griggs Reservoir is widely known as the best water for sports in Ohio. The SBC is a member-driven club that provides a fun, clean, family atmosphere, coupled with the camaraderie of boating, skiing, wake boarding, fishing, and rowing. There are several dinners and boating trips each year so you get to know all our members and their families. We strive to provide our members with an affordable place to boat, fish, and play at water sports without having to travel far away from Columbus and its surrounding cities and suburbs.
Amenities Include: 77 Floating Aluminum Boat Docks, Launching Ramp, 10 Ton Motorized Hoist with Ramp, 5 Room 8,000 sq ft Clubhouse, 2 Level Deck overlooking the River, Picnic Tables, Grills, Sand Volleyball Court, 12-24 Rowing Shell Storage and 81 Trailer & Boat Storage spaces.
